Evening Outpatient Clinician (Part Time)

Summary:

The Outpatient Clinician is responsible for providing direct and indirect outpatient clinical services to individuals with psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and addiction problems, and/or co-occurring disorders primarily in our Bridgeport Outpatient Program. This position will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to create an individualized recovery program for each client. This position will provide effective client supervision and counseling services for both individual and group as well as facilitate treatment plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Maintain flexible schedule to perform clinical assessments, provide individual/group therapy and intensive outpatient services while meeting productivity measures.
  • Secure commercial insurance initial authorizations and provide concurrent rationales to support appropriate level and continue care.
  • Complete all treatment planning and discharge documentation according to policy.
  • Input all clinical documentation in Connecticut Renaissance's EHR accurately and timely.
  • Communicate with referral sources on the status of each client's progress and performance within the program, including the preparation of reports.
  • Participate in all required internal and external meetings.
  • Provide urinalysis/breathalyzer testing when indicated and within guidelines of monitoring.
  • Attend all required trainings to enhance knowledge and skill level;
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new team members to the clinic.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing and coverage for clinical services in the Bridgeport Clinic, including organizing coverage in the absence of the PD should there be any call outs or impact to the daily schedule. Coverage planning and assisting in the Norwalk Clinic as needed;
  • Ensure communication with referral sources including reporting requirements, updates and collaboration and treatment recommendations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:

Knowledge Of:

· Diagnosis and assessment of co-occurring disorders.

· Fee for service and billing requirements for outpatient services.

· Electronic Health Records


Ability To:

· Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

· Manage priorities effectively to meet deadlines and demonstrate multi-tasking skills.

· Ability to employ effective organizational skills to meet goals

· Able to work independently and as part of a team


Education and Experience:

· Master Degree with Licensure in Behavioral Health (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in CT. Additional LADC a plus.

· Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience with licensure; preferably behavioral health field.

· Experience in trauma informed care preferred.

· Experience with substance abuse clients, co-occurring diagnosed clients and criminal justice population preferred.

Other:

  • Must be dependable and reliable; detailed oriented; and able to interface easily with clients, staff, and referral sources.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
  • Position requires climbing stairs and the ability to lift 20lbs or more
  • May need to travel to other CTR locations
  • Must successfully complete the introductory probationary employment period.
  • Must have a valid CT driver's license.
